Team Q&A: Andrew Cenci – Marketing Manager

We are thrilled to be joined by our newest team member, Andrew Cenci!

What did you do before joining Virtual Peaker?

I’ve always enjoyed creating and telling stories. As a content marketing manager who has worked in the energy and sustainability industry for the last three years, I’ve seen how a company like Virtual Peaker can have a direct impact on people’s lives. Now that I’ve joined this team, I look forward to sharing stories about how all of us can work and live more sustainably.

What’s your role at Virtual Peaker?

I’m the marketing manager, so I spearhead our marketing and outreach efforts. It’s an honor to join such a talented team enmeshed in an industry that supports the environment and fights climate change. As renewables continue to become more viable, and technology continues to improve, Virtual Peaker is playing a significant role helping utilities create a more sustainable future.

What else can you share?

I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio, and my wife and I moved to Louisville shortly after we got married almost nine years ago. At home, we now have an 1-year-old son who is busy teaching us exactly who is in charge.

As a family, we look forward to hiking in The Parklands in Louisville and fishing in the creek. We also love to try new foods. My wife’s family is from Poland, so I’ve expanded my palette with pierogis, lots of soups, plus an amazing rice and beef dish called, “gołąbki”.

In my remaining spare time, I’m an artist and photographer who enjoys working on personal projects, including one featuring my neighborhood in Louisville that I’ve been chronicling for six years. I recently built a darkroom to develop traditional black & white prints, and my freelance editorial photography has been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, and others.
